When schools call us

Space is usually needed before the permanent answer is ready.

Most requests start with one of four situations. Each has its own constraints on timing, permits and contract term – which is why we start with the situation, not the catalogue.

  1. Pupil numbers outgrow the building

Two to eight extra classrooms on the existing site, often for 3–10 years while the long-term plan is decided.

  2. Renovation or new build

A complete decant school for the full school population during works, then moved on.

  3. A building is suddenly unavailable

Fire, water damage or structural findings: the first question is what can be in use, and when.

  4. New groups need to be accommodated

Reception classes or newcomer education with an uncertain duration, where relocation later matters.

Plan before you talk

Size it in four steps. See modules, floor area and lead time.

Choose classrooms, storeys, energy level and lease or purchase. The configurator shows an indicative module count, gross floor area and a lead-time range, with every assumption written out. A starting point for a conversation, not a quote.

Lease or buy

Two contract forms, both relocatable.

Which is cheaper depends on term, energy level and what happens afterwards. The configurator shows both side by side as an illustrative comparison; the feasibility call is where the real numbers are worked out.

Lease, 2–15 years

Suits a need with a known end, or an end you cannot predict yet. Maintenance can be included; at the end of the term the building is dismantled and relocated or reused. Extending the term is usually possible.

Purchase, relocatable

Suits a need for many years or a portfolio of schools. The building stays your asset and can be moved to another site in the same portfolio later. Valuation and relocation cost depend on condition and distance.
